Heroin is an opioid drug that is synthesized from morphine, a naturally occurring substance extracted from the seed pod of the Asian opium poppy plant. Heroin usually appears as a white or brown powder or as a black sticky substance, known as “black tar heroin.”

  1. Very disturbing. As our nation gets high to the point of death - our neighbors, our co-workers, our friends, our family members - what can we do?

  2. Sad but real. Days ago, the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman surprised a lot of people ... but has surprised even more, hundreds reports announcing the alarming increase of the heroin consumption ... especially among the teenagers!!!
